You can change the install location for downloaded content to a removable volume, such as an external drive.
To do this, macOS requires that you grant Muse Hub "Full Disk Access", in order to be able to write to the removable volumes. Otherwise, Hub can only write to it's container folder (since Muse Hub is a sandboxed app), or to a folder that you have set on your built-in internal drive.
If you wish to use Muse Hub with removable storage, you must allow Full Disk Access in macOS System Preferences.
To do this, on macOS Monterey:
- Open macOS System Preferences
- Navigate to Security & Privacy
- On the Privacy tab, choose the Full Disk Access category on the left
- Click your padlock and enter your computer password in order to be able to make changes to the list
- Find Muse Hub in the list of application; and check the box next to it.
- Note: If you can't find Muse Hub in the list of applications, you must click the + icon and select the Muse Hub app from your Applications folder to add it manually to the list.
